Bactrim in breastfeeding researches

Some researches were made to determine the ratio of possible risks and benefits of taking Bactrim while breastfeeding. It is clear that components of Bactrim are passed through breast milk, but researches do not found any evidence that they could harm healthy full-term babies. However, consult with your doctor and pediatrician, if you want to take Bactrim while breastfeeding premature, ill and jaundiced babies. Avoid Bactrim if the breastfed infant has a glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
